Campaigns and Elections magazine has a preview of tonight’s debate on Fox News in which it says this about Ron Paul:
Lisella said candidates with the most to gain are those with low national name recognition - Huckabee, Paul, Hunter, Brownback. The debates serve as one of the few opportunities for free national exposure — a chance to compete on an even battlefield with better-known rivals.
“Ron Paul impressed conservatives during the California debate, and we can expect an interesting show from him in this one,” Lisella said. “For viewers looking for someone to liven up the debates a little, he’s the clear favorite.” As in the California debate two weeks ago, the most interesting part will be watching the three very moderate frontrunners — McCain, Romney, Giuliani — attempt to reposition themselves as conservatives, he said.
