This is the exchange of the debate:
Paul fumbles the response to Giuliani’s “superficially strong” and “wrongheaded” interruption, but Giuliani’s ignorance is even more stunning. Has he really not read the CIA reports that cite the fact that our foreign policy created the discontent in the Arab world that is needed to allow people like Bin Laden to turn people into suicide bombers?
NRO’s The Corner has this to say about the exchange:
Paul was correct to point out that U.S. pre-invasion policies toward Iraq — the no-fly zones, the military bases protecting Saudi Arabia, the economic sanctions — were front and center in Osama bin Laden’s 1996 declaration of war against America.

While you were right about the slight fumble, he was right on his answer. I only wish he had pointed out how Bin Laden said he was after us because US troops were still in Saudi Arabia. And Bush gave in to Bin Laden by pulling the troops out of Saudi Arabia while he was declaring Mission Accomplished.
Mr. Paul, you are absolutely correct.
When I was working in N Va, the basic concensus in the intelligence community (at least around Quantico) was “What did we expect after bombing and killing them all these years”.
When you were speaking last night, my wife happened to walk by and hear you talk about getting government out of our lives, end being the ‘police of the world’, and reducing spending and my wife said, “Who is this wonderful man?”
You, sir, just gained two more votes.
I love you Ron Paul. I am officially 100% behind you after the debate last night. It was great to see you in the lead on the Fox poll yesterday, too. I was so glad. Please point out to all these people on TV Today that you won on almost every poll but they keep saying other’s won. In fact, not one media outlet has noted that you won. Several have even mentioned that you shouldn’t have even been there. I am tired of the media picking our candidates for us. Please kick some butt today. I’m praying for you.
