It did go well, until we got up at the end like an ass and walked off. I get embarrassed when guests do that on shows.

Ron has some great points and does a good job at not appearing too much like a radical libertarian, but I hear his campaign is a decade too late, he’s got a bit of that “crazy old man” thing going on.

I disagree Phil. Its never too late to vote for a person who will fight for freedom. And he does not sound like a “radical” Libertarian because he is not radical. He simply wants our government to be run according to the principles lade out by the U.S. Constitution. It doesn’t matter to me if you have issues with old people. Ron will be a better President then all the others I have lived through.

Ron has my vote.

Very early on, Dr. Paul’s candidacy as a Republican - as he had done to become and remain a congressman - seemed to me to be a bit of a sell-out, but I now realize that because of the fact that 1] the two big, old, clunky, special interest-saturated parties have gotten so much of a stranglehold on power in Washington and 2] so many of us have this irrational fear of wasting our vote.. riding along on the coattails of one of the two established parties is the only practical thing to do to get our country back on track, rather than wait around for some national catastrophe to open the door for change.
I hope that I get a chance to pull the lever for Ron Paul come primary time.

I don’t agree with everything he says, but I admire his consistency. My local public radio station is running a series about candidates’ voting records and campaign contributions. Substance. What a concept. They did Ron Paul yesterday. I learned more in ONE HOUR than I have from any of the national media I’ve read and heard. Check it out and spread the word. People need to know more than what they’re getting in the mainstream. Oh, and the host actually does her homework.

I too cringed when that happened. From what I’ve read I’m sure it was not from Dr. Paul being an ass, or wanting to avoid talking to Jon Stewart during the break. I think the guest stands up to acknowledge the crowd, and over their applause doesn’t hear the host ask them to sit down and stay. Thinking their bit is over, they leave the stage. I think that’s really the shows fault more than anything for not making that a really clear point before the guest comes on… Even Jon said as much after the break saying something akin to “why, why do they all get up and leave!? *fake sadness*” - because they don’t know the format of your show Jon. Though I think Bill Gates took off because he wanted too, seemed a bit angry the bit didn’t go off as a 100% flattery of himself and Microsoft and his oh so magical Vista… heh.
