The Idaho GOP has initiated an unique approach to dealing with the Ron Paul Republicans, welcoming them with open arms. I have to wonder how much better shape the party would be in if every state had decided to live by the “big tent” philosophy they profess. Congratulations to all of the great volunteers that stuck with the process and became a delegation within the state party. We are looking to for great things in the future! Here is the story from the Spokane Journal-Review…
Idaho GOP: Ron Paul Gets Idaho Delegates
Six Ron Paul delegates and six alternates were nominated this morning to attend the national GOP convention in September. The convention is expected to ratify the decision this afternoon. The committee also nominated 17 John McCain delegates and 17 alternatives in addition to six at-large delegates and six alternatives
“We studied this long and hard last night,” party Chairman Kirk Sullivan told the Nomination Committee. “I have the firm belief and conviction that in order to be fair we need to nominate and elect delegates for the Ron Paul people.”
The committee unanimously agreed without discussion.
“In my view these people have clearly earned the right to go to the national convention,” said committee chairman Blake Hall.

This is truly wonderful news! Thank you for posting the story, Don. The rest of the states should take a lesson from Idaho.
